Us”, “We”, “Ours”
PCB Libraries, Inc. (PCBL).
PCB Yellow Pages (PCBYP) is a service that is owned and operated by PCB Libraries,
Inc.
All aspects of this Privacy Statement were written and shall be read with
regard to the PCB Yellow Pages User Agreement.
This statement describes how and why PCBYP collects your personal information
and how it is used. The latest Privacy Statement supersedes all prior revisions
and has precedence over any verbal or written communication. We reserve the
right to modify this Privacy Policy with or without notice. If changes to this
statement are significant (as determined by PCBL), PCBL will attempt to notify
you by sending an e-mail to the address associated with your account.
PCB Libraries, Inc. staff will never ask
you for your password in any manner email, phone, etc. You should
not share your password with any one.
WHY INFORMATION IS REQUIRED
We are committed to protecting your privacy and strongly value you as a visitor
and subscriber of PCBYP. Therefore, We have set high standards that guide
the use of your personal/company information.
We offer services and access in good faith that the information you voluntarily
provide Us is truthful. The consequence of failing to provide factual information
is outlined in the Terms of Service.
Your access to the PCBYP site will be limited unless you provide the required
information. The information is necessary or may be useful for Us to manage
site usage and to help ensure the site is optimized for your best use. You
have password-protected access your account, which allows you to create and
manage listings. You should keep your information on this account up to date.
Regardless of how PCBL requests the information and/or how it is provided
to us, (including, but not limited to: verbally, in writing, via other parties,
or online) the PCBYP Privacy Statement and User Agreement are binding.
INFORMATION OWNERSHIP & USAGE
Please note that due to the nature of the PCBYP site, most of the information
you provide WILL become public. Very little information you provide us will
not.
PCBL or other parties who require access to your information in order to provide
you with service may access and/or update your information for reasons such
as (but not limited to) providing a service you request, maintenance purposes,
and normal business operations.
We will not barter, sell or release your personal information to any organization,
unless special circumstances arise in which PCBL deems it best to do so, or
if you subscribe to the sponsor promotions mailing lists. Other special circumstances
include, but are not limited to: requirement by law or regulation; identification;
reporting of activity deemed illegal; prevention of abuse; when We believe
an individual’s or organization’s well-being is threatened; failure
to abide by the User Agreement as determined by PCBL; merger with another company
or acquisition; or when necessary to provide you with the services you request.
We may use your personal information in a variety of ways. We may record and
maintain logs of your usage of the PCBYP site, including (but not limited to)
information you provide, your IP address, products you download, and pages
you view. We may publicly or privately share, with whomever We wish, general,
aggregated information that pertains to your account or usage of the PCBYP
site, such as (but not limited to) country, download statistics and demographic
information.
TECHNOLOGIES
The PCBYP site uses “cookies” (relatively small files stored on
your computer’s hard drive) which allow Us to perform various tasks,
such as track usage, recognize repeat visits, and provide session control so
you may have access to services. Therefore, your browser must have the ability
to handle cookies in order for you to access some parts of the site. You can
disable cookies, but, as a result, certain features and services of the PCBYP
site may become inaccessible to you. We are not responsible for how cookies
are handled by your computer or other web sites you visit.
We may also use web beacons (or clear GIFs) to track statistics of read e-mail
messages and measure click-through rates. Cookies or beacons used by other
parties are not bound by the PCBYP Privacy Statement or User Agreement. We
may, without notice, use other such technologies as deemed necessary.
Although PCBL takes measures to protect the collection and storing of your
personal information, there are no guarantees that third parties will not illegally
access your data or intercept it in transmission. PCBL is not responsible for
such unlawful actions taken by other parties.
E-MAIL SUBSCRIPTION
We respect your e-mail subscription decisions. If you are not subscribed to
a particular mailing list, We will not send you e-mail We distribute to that
list. You can subscribe/unsubscribe to multiple mailing lists at your discretion.
However, at times, it will be necessary for Us to contact ALL Our registered
users. By registering your information on the PCBYP site, We may send you important
e-mails, whether or not you are subscribed to any mailing list. The only way
to ensure you do not receive any e-mail from Us is to not register, or if you
have already done so, terminate your account immediately. To do so, please
contact the Administrator via the “Contact Us” page. This subject
is covered in more detail in the User Agreement.
THIRD PARTIES
We are not responsible for how your information is stored, used, or handled
by third parties. For instance, sites listed on PCBYP, may store cookies
on your computer at their discretion, or other sites may require that you
provide them information to access their site. Not all sites use the same
security policies and you should be aware of that as you surf from site to
site.
In order to provide you with a product or service, PCBL may need to share
your information with third parties, particularly all relevant personal and
payment
information (including, but not limited to name, address, and credit card numbers)
when processing a purchase. The respective parties, not PCBL, are each responsible
for how they handle your information, whether you or PCBL provides it. Third
parties are not bound by the PCBYP Privacy Policy or User Agreement when using
your information.
SITES LISTED
We are not responsible for actions taken by those affiliated with sites listed
on PCBYP. When you visit them, some sites listed on PCBYP may run scripts
that may damage your computer. It is your responsibility, NOT ours, to ensure
you have the latest anti-virus program and properly configure your own computer’s
security settings to prevent malicious scripts from running. Please note
that increasing your computer security may affect the level of service you
can access from PCBYP and/or listed websites.
INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE
Other parties (such as advertisers) may access the public information you provide,
whether or not you link to them from PCBYP. These third parties may contact
you at their discretion. Furthermore, the information they collect about
you may be collected, maintained, and processed by the respective parties.
By providing information on PCBYP, you agree that you are solely responsible
for this information and your business affairs, that you will handle any
and all disputes between you and the respective third party, and that you
will not hold PCBL liable for any related damages.
Whether you enter information on your own company or another company, you
assume all responsibility for the information you provide. All revisions you
make to the listings remain your responsibility as well.
INFORMATION PROVIDED BY OTHER PARTIES
By listing another company’s information, it is your responsibility to
obtain the required permission from them. PCBL reserves the right to remove
such listing or transfer ownership to the company, without your prior notification,
should the rightful owners request such action. If this is the case, ALL your
information may be disclosed to the rightful owners and you no longer will
have access to update the related listing(s).
We will consider requests to transfer ownership of links (and access to update
listings) to appropriate owners. For instance, if a third party listed your
organization without your permission, you can contact Us (see the “Contact
Us” page) and request such transfer. We reserve the right to take various
precautions to help ensure you are the appropriate owner of the link. Because
information constantly changes, errors may be made, but We seek to resolve
them as quickly as possible. If you wish to appeal a transfer, please contact
the Administrator. Should the conflict be unsolvable with reasonable effort,
We reserve the right to shut down the listing and not publicize any more information
related to the listing.
If you wish to transfer ownership of any listing to your organization, you
MUST contact us from the LISTED DOMAIN. For example, if you want to assume
control of your company’s “www.MyCompany1237.com” listing,
your email to the Administrator requesting the changeover should come from “NameHere@MyCompany1237.com”.
The Administrator will then communicate with you using this email address.
If someone at my organization left and nobody knows the login information,
you should do the following:
1. Notify your Information Systems Department that an email will be sent to
the address of the person who left (they may need to reconfigure his/her account).
2. Click on the PCB Yellow Pages "Login" link
3. Use the forgot password feature to retrieve the password (use the appropriate
email address!)
4. Log in using the emailed password
5. Go to "Membership Home" and update the email by clicking on the "Edit
Your Registration" link.
SWEEPSTAKES & GIVEAWAYS
If you participate in any sweepstakes, We may share your personal information
with companies that sponsor the respective sweepstakes. If you are a sweepstakes
winner and claim your prize, We most likely will publicize your name, company,
city, state and country.
Anyone who provided Us the required personal information may be selected as
a prizewinner. We will make reasonable effort to contact the winning individual.
If We cannot establish contact with the winning individual in reasonable time,
We reserve the right to select an alternate winner. Prizes may include products,
coupons, discounts from the PCB Libraries, Inc. store, or discounted listings
on PCBYP. By winning and claiming the prize, you have given Us this right to
publicize
your name, title, company, city, state and/or country.
